No COE

Pros : For the price, the assortment of colors is great. I have been using these for several years now, and have made some beautiful pieces. As far as the COE, these don’t have one and can be used on any glass.

Cons : As with all enamels, you have to keep a water supply handy as they dry quick, and it makes it difficult to keep a smooth line.

Other Thoughts : As with everything, trial and error is the way to go. Do some experimenting on small pieces of glass by making sample strips. This way you will have the colors and know how to use them. If you make your sample strips on clear, all you have to do is lay the clear strip on top of the color you want to put it on to know if it will be the right color.

Pros : Great color assortment! All bags were sealed and clearly labeled with color number that corresponds to the color chart in the user manual.

Cons : None that I’ve found so far.

Other Thoughts : I would definitely order this again.

Pros : Large sellection of colours for a reasonable price. Good colour saturation.

Other Thoughts : More information on what the colours (enamel set F)are and how to use them can be found on Thompson Enamels web site. Their Thompson Enamel Woorkbook has a wealth of information. It is a very complete reference on all of Thompson’s products. Well worth the cost.

Product Description

Fuse with A Rainbow of Colors!
Complete set of colored enamels includes 42 different colors of opaque and transparent enamel powder. Compatible with 90 COE and 96 COE. Matures between 1250 and 1450 degree F. Each color is approximately a heaping teaspoon of powder. Measuring approximately 6 gm per color.

Enamels can be sifted on projects, used with stencils, mixed with Klyr Fire #7405A1 and painted on. You can even use to write and draw on glass! Mix enamels with Liquid Stringer Medium #40900 and clear fine powdered frit. Apply with an applicator bottle. Floral project from “Contemporary Glass Enameling” book #6629. Note: For your safety wear an approved particulate mask, such as #5159 respirator, while handling powders.
